PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately interpolate unstored merchandise information in each terminal while easing congestion in a data communication line. SOLUTION: A merchandise file 13F in each terminal 10 is formed so as to store merchandise information including an effective period and a 1st judging means (11, 12), a 2nd judging means (11, 12), an inquiry means (11, 12), and an additional storage control means (11, 12) are included in each terminal 10. Each terminal 10 is formed so as to inquire merchandise information to a master equipment (server) 20 through a data communication line 1 at the time of judging that commodity information corresponding to input data are not stored in its own merchandise file 13F or the effective period of the information has elapsed though the information is stored and additionally store the merchandise information including the effective period in the merchandise file 13F built in the terminal 10 itself at the time of receiving a response from the master equipment 20. |
