PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch device with which the thinning of a keyboard can be achieved and its key stroke can be made large, and which has high key operability and can make the key-in operation reliable. SOLUTION: In this key switch device, the vertical movement of a key top 1 is guided and supported by a guiding support member 6 that is composed by combining link members 7, 8, on which first locking pins 13, 14, 21, 22 and second locking pins 15,16,23,24 are formed at both their ends, in the shape intersected at a journalling part A; a rubber spring 31 installed under the guiding support member 6 is pressed down by the link members 7, 8 at the time of depressing the key top 1 so that the switching operation is carried out.
