PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control an etching position so as to carry out a surface enlarging treatment of high efficiency by a method, wherein a matrix possessed of projections arranged at required intervals is pressed down on the surface of an aluminum foil with a proper pressure, so as to form recesses each of which serves as an etching hole start point. SOLUTION: An aluminum foil 3 of (100) plane orientation rate 93% or so is subjected to a degreasing treatment using acetone. Thereafter, a silicon carbide plate 1 with regular projections 2 formed through a lithography method is placed on the aluminum foil 3, and a pressure is given to the silicon carbide plate 1 by a hydraulic press, whereby recesses 4 are provided in the surface of the aluminum foil 3. The regular projections 2 used in forming the recesses 4 are square in shape and arranged in a lattice form. Thereafter, the aluminum foil 3 is subjected to constant-current electrolytic etching in hydrochloric acid, whereby an etching hole array of the same arrangement as with the recesses 4 can be obtained. |
