PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce pricking resistance than the conventional suture needles. SOLUTION: The suture needle A having a base end 2 engaging with a suture 1 at one end and having a tapered part 3 arriving at a needle tip 3a to be pricked into the tissue at the other end is constituted to have a rugged line surface 6 formed in nearly an axial direction by abrasive grain working in at least part of the tapered part 3 described above. A fine clearance is formed between the needle and the vital tissue by the rugged line surface 6 and the contact area with the vital tissue is thereby decreased and, therefore, the pricking resistance may be reduced. |
