<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow golf ball which is a hollow golf ball formed by using a hollow core internally having a spherical space, is capable of preventing the failure of the hollow core by the impact force applied on the ball at the time of impact and makes it possible to obtain a large carry by maintaining the hardness and repulsive property of the hollow core in an adequate range. SOLUTION: The outside surface of the spherical hollow core 2 consisting which is internally formed with the concentric spherical space 4 and consists of a material having a sp. gr. of 1.05 to 1.25 is coated with a cover 6 and the inside surface of the hollow core 2 is coated with a resin layer 8 having a thickness of 1 to 3 mm. The Izod impact strength of the resin layer 8 is adequately >=50 J/m, the thickness (b) of the hollow core 2 is 7 to 11 mm and the Shore D hardness of the resin layer 8 is larger by >=10 than the Shore D hardness of the hollow core 2.</p> |
