PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of the connection of a coaxial cable with a contact for such cable. SOLUTION: A coaxial cable 2 consisting of a braid 5 wound round an insulative covering 4 furnished on the peripheral surface of a center conductor 3 and a sheath 6 enclosing the peripheral surface of the braid is installed on a placing plate 24 in rectangular shape, on which a pair of crimping pieces 22 are provided in such an arrangement as crossing the direction in which the cable 2 is laid, wherein one or more sets of opposing braid fastening pieces 23 are provided between the crimping pieces 22, and a piercing part biting into the braid 5 is formed on the fastening pieces 23, and the space between the pieces 23 is set approx. equal to the distance of the outside diameter of the insulative covering. The piercing part is a cutting blade for the braid formed by notching acutely the free end of each fastening piece 23. A blade for crimping is formed by notching acutely the free end of the crimping piece 22, and the space between the free ends is set greater than the inside diameter of the sheath 6 and smaller than its outside diameter.
