PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a gain of a microphone signal amplifier system properly and automatically. SOLUTION: In the automatic variable gain equipment, a signal strength detection section 13 detects a signal strength of a song signal S1 for a prescribed period and holds a maximum signal strength detection results and uses a signal gain setting section 15 to set a gain of a signal amplifier section 12 amplifying the song signal S1 to be a prescribed gain corresponding to the maximum signal strength detection result, when a maximum signal strength subject to holding is high, the signal is amplified at a small gain and conversely when the holding maximum signal strength is small, the signal is amplified at a high gain, resulting that a song signal S2 with proper signal strength and proper gain is automatically adjusted. |
