PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the pitching behavior when the braking of a vehicle is ended, and reduce the uncomfortable feeling of an occupant by setting the brake hydraulic pressure of a means for generating a braking force on rear wheel side higher than the brake hydraulic pressures of a generating source and a means for generating a braking force on front wheel side, when the brake pressure is reduced. SOLUTION: A vehicle is provided with a brake pedal 1, a booster device 2, and a master cylinder 3 as brake hydraulic pressure generating means for giving a braking force to the body. In decompression of brake pressure, the decompressive change of the master cylinder 3 has a characteristic corresponding to the reduction in the operating force to a brake pedal 1 by an occupant. When the pressure of the master cylinder 3 is higher than a break point pressure set in a proportional control valve 6, the pressure of the wheel cylinder 5 is decompressively changed by the line pressure damping effect by the proportional control valve 6. Thus, the decompressive change of the rear wheel side wheel cylinder 5 is performed later than the decompressive change of the master cylinder 3 to provide a high pressure. Thus, the pitching can be suppressed. |
