LINEAR ELECTROMAGNETIC SOLENOID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear electromagnetic solenoid that produces small noises. SOLUTION: A mover 3 is arranged linearly freely movably inside a cylindrical yoke 2 so as to enclose a coil 1. Magnetic pole pieces 5a and 5b extending in the moving direction of the member 3 are provided within the yoke 2. The member 3 comprises a plurality of magnetic movable elements 13 arranged in the moving direction and nonmagnetic coupling members 14 for coupling the elements 13. Magnetic auxiliary members 6a and 6b are so arranged within the yoke 2 as to correspond to gaps between the elements 13. As a result of this construction, the member 3 moves without colliding with other members and thus produces less noise as it moves. Further, thrust is increased by the auxiliary members 6a and 6b.
