<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the practicability and durability of a golf club head. SOLUTION: A forged or cast core is subjected to emery buffing then to ultrasonic washing. The core is suspended to a suspension frame 31 of a rotary strut 32 of a suspension type driving machine 3. A driving material prepd. by mixing metallic powder for coating and particulate steel balls of a diameter of about 2 mm to 1.0 mm is diffused and driven to the core by a mechanical arm 34 using centrifugal force. Many holes are formed by the hardness of the steel balls. The steel balls are dropped first and a metallic material is held in the holes. A metallic material layer is formed on the core surface to form a semi-finished product. The semi-finished product is heated at a high temp. and is then subjected to electroplating and annealing, by which a strong and hard metallic thin film is formed on the surface of the semi-finished product and the golf club head is completed.</p> |
