PHASED ARRAY ANTENNA SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease processes for mounting a moduled switch and to reduce manufacturing cost by forming a phase shifter and a phase shift control circuit which controls the phase shifting of the phase shifter in one body. SOLUTION: This system has M radiation elements 25. and the radiation elements 25 are connected to N-bit (M, N are integer of >=2) phase shifters 24, which are connected to a feed part 3 through a distribution and composition unit 27. Each phase shifter 24 is connected to a thin film transistor circuit 20 for phase shifter driving as a phase shift control circuit and the TFT circuit 20 is connected to a control unit 1. The control unit 1 calculates phase shift quantities suitable for directing radiation beam as desired by the M radiation elements 25 with N-bit precision and outputs the results as a control signal (a) to a data distributing circuit 21. The control signal (a) is distributed and supplied as a control signal a' by the data distributing circuit 21 to respective data latch circuits 22.
