WASTE WATER TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently disperse a carrier charged in an aeration tank in the treatment of waste water. SOLUTION: A waste water treatment apparatus includes an aeration tank 1 in which a microorganism immobilizing carrier 4 is charged and the air diffusion device 2 provided to the bottom part of the aeration tank 1 and the air diffusion device 2 consists of unit air diffusers 2a-2d which are connected to a blower 5 through pipings equipped with flow rate regulating mechanisms 6a-6d. The flow rate regulating mechanisms 6a-6d are adjusted to control air diffusion amts. so as to differentiate them on the upstream and downstream sides of the aeration tank to diffuse air and the microorganism immobilizing carrier 4 is dispersed in the tank to biologically purify waste water.
