PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent molten slag from being solidified and sticking to the inner wall of a furnace, by mixing the air which is alternately heated by heat storage burners with fuel to blow it into the secondary combustion chamber. SOLUTION: Piping 13 from a heat storage burner mechanism 12 and a fuel pipe 14 are connected to the secondary air outlet 7 from which the secondary air is blown into the secondary combustion chamber 6. Burners 16 and 17 of the heat storage burner mechanism 12 are alternately ignited and burned. The inside of the combustion chamber 15 is gradually warmed up, and it is brought to high temperatures in the range of about 800 deg.C to 1,000 deg.C. The air which became a high temperature is mixed with the fuel from the fuel pipe 14 at the secondary air outlet 7 through the piping 13, and then the combustion gas, which has a sufficiently high remaining oxygen concentration at a slag melting point or higher, is blown into the secondary combustion chamber 6. Thereby, cooling of slag does not occur at the secondary air outlet 7, and the molten slag does not stick to the inner wall surface 1b of the furnace. |
