PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it unnecessary to replace a heat exchanger frequently and to make it possible to lower the temperature of exhaust gas discharged outside a system, to the utmost. SOLUTION: This incinerator is equipped with a heat accumulator 5 and also at least one heat accumulation type burner system 2 conducting combustion with an oxidizing agent of high temperature approximating to the temperature of exhaust gas, which is supplied by conducting the supply of the oxidizing agent and exhaustion of combustion gas alternately through the heat accumulator 5, is provided in a furnace body 1. Vent gas is supplied as the oxidizing agent to the heat accumulation type burner system 2 and fuel is combusted by the vent gas, while an odor component contained in this vent gas is thermally decomposed or burned. Meanwhile, the combustion gas produced is passed through the heat accumulator 5 to be of low temperature and discharged, while the vent gas is preheated to a high temperature approximating to the temperature of the exhaust gas by the heat released in the heat accumulator 5. |
