<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow golf club shaft which is light in the weight of the shaft, has high torsional rigidity, has good direction even when it is used by a hard hitting golfer of a high head speed, does not lose a carry, has sufficient torsional strength and consists of inexpensive FRP and a golf club having this shaft. SOLUTION: The hollow golf club shaft consisting of the fiber reinforced plastic is required (I) to be <=2.2 g/inch in the weight of the shaft, (II) to be <=1.8 deg./IFT.lb in the torsional angle of the shaft, (III) to be 10 to 18 mm in the outside diameter at the front end on the tip side of the shaft and (IV) to be >=16 mm in the outside diameter at the front end on the grip side of the shaft.</p> |
