PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording/reproducing suited to correspondence to contents making an audio the subject by selectively encoding at least two channels of plural audio data on a track on a software carrier by different resolution as a single stream. SOLUTION: A front channel of the most important channel of plural audio channels of a digital multipurpose disk DVD type record medium is encoded at maximum resolution, and a rear channel is encoded at a lower resolution, and a sub-woofer channel is encoded at a further lower resolution, and at a reproducing time, they are arranged in required order to be assembled to plural frames and to be recorded on a software carrier 10 together with weighting information. In the case of the software carrier having six channel audios accompanied with two channel audios, the six channel audio data on a first track, and the two channel audio data on a second track are recorded respectively as a single stream. The different resolution are correspondent to a different sampling rate and a sample word length. |
