PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the loss of data, and to attain the control of overflow and empty by dividing a buffer memory into memory areas of certain data units, and operating data transfer by each data unit. SOLUTION: A buffer memory 1 is divided into memory areas of each certain data unit, and the empty of the buffer memory 1 is detected by a data discriminating circuit 29 by using flag signals 22, 23, and 24 for operating write and read control by each data unit, and data transfer is operated by each data unit by operating read control. Thus, the loss of data can be prevented, and also the control of overflow can be attained by the flag signals 22, 23, and 24.
