PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structured separator of a separate type slide fastener which looks beautiful and can securely fix a box rod inside a box of the separator. SOLUTION: The box 14 of this separator has a first pathway 47 to store a box rod 8 fixed at the end of a stringer 4, and also has front and rear walls connected at the center by a center plate 30. A first pathway 47 for storing the box rod 8 and a second pathway 43 for storing a butterfly rod 16 which is fixed at the bottom end of the other stringer 20 are formed by right and left flanges 44 and 40 together with the center plate 30 and the front and rear walls. The first pathway 47 on the insertion side of the box rod has a protrusion 48 protruding toward inside of the box, and the protrusion 48 energizes the box rod 8 against the center 30. Upper and lower engagement planes 54 and 56 formed by a notch 50 of the box rod 8 can securely prevent the box rod 8 inside the box 14 moving in the axial direction by clasping the center plate 30 from up and down. At the same time, an expanding part 60 at the bottom end of the box rod 8 which presses on and is in contact with the flange 44 can energize the box rod 8 toward the center plate 30 by pushing the protrusion 48. With such a structure, movement of the box rod 8 inside the box 14 can be complete blocked. |
