A flexible membrane separates two chambers, an upper one (5) for the pumping of a gas (2), by a reciprocating action, and a lower one (6) which accommodates the pumping liquid (4). The membrane (3) is fixed at its periphery (13) between the upper (8) and the lower parts (9) of the body (1) of the pump. On the periphery (10) of the center part of the membrane is a circular collar (11) folded upwards so that when the membrane (3) is in its lower position (3a) its shape follows the contours of the seat (14) of the lower part of the body.
