Rotates a shaft using the kinetic energy stored in a suspended mass, which is released as the mass is lowered. The converter uses a raising actuator driven by the energy collector (10) which raises, by means of screws (T1,T2), a mass (K). When the mass (K) is raised, inversion of the rotation direction of the screws causes the mass to fall which rotates the screw (T3) fixed to the shaft (P1) coupled to a receiver (R3). Other variations are: (1) a mass (F) is added to the screw (P9) to reinforce the collector function ( Aeolian case ). (2) a motor can be substituted for the collector, when natural energy is not available.
