A recognition signal is transmitted by a transmitter that is preferably inside the device. The recognition signal is received inside the electrical apparatus. The recognition signal is transmitted to control electronics of the apparatus which interrupts the main current supply to the apparatus. With this interruption, an auxiliary current supply to the receiver and the control electronics is maintained. With abandonment of the device, a second identification signal is sent to the receiver and passed from here to the control electronics so that the main current supply is reactivated.
