Novelty - A suspension strut for a vehicle has a cost effective mounting by moulding a plastic bearing (13,14) directly onto the strut. The outer contour of the bearing is spherical with the centre of the sphere coincident with the strut axis. The bearing is gripped by an outer bearing housing on the mounting. This can be two part bearing clipped together, or a slit construction. The surface of the strut can be worked to provide a key in the plastic moulding.
