The invention concerns a plate device (26) comprising means for pressing the lower surface of a boot sole (10) against the plate. Said device comprises front (42) and rear (44) fixing means for pressing the boot sole (10) against the plate (26). It also comprises a control member (64) common to the front and rear fixing means. Said control member is connected, for instance by a cord (58), by fixing means such that each of the latter exerts a force pressing the plate against the sole, said forces being mutually balanced to ensure a type of link independently of the sole condition.
