The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuated valve (1), especially a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, comprising a core (3) surrounded by a magnet coil (2) and an armature (8) adjoining the core (3), by means of which a valve closing body can be actuated which cooperates with the valve seat body. A reflux body (10) surrounding the armature (8) is magnetically separated from the core (3) by a separation area (12). According to the invention the core (3) and/or the reflux body (10) are made of a ferritic or ferromagnetic material, the permeability of which depends on the mechanical tension to which the material is subjected. The core (3) and/or the reflux body (10) is mechanically twisted in a border area between the core (3) and the reflux body (10) so as to form the magnetic separation area (12).
