Liquid compositions comprising stability enhancing surfactants and a method of enhancing low temperature stability thereof

A lamellar structured liquid cleansing composition contains 5-50% of a surfactant system comprising: (a) anionic surfactant(s); and (b) amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant(s), where component (b) contains alkali metal amphoacetate (I) in an amount of 25-90%. Also claimed is a method for enhancing the low temperature stability of the composition comprising selecting component (b) as above.
