FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: coupling unit has rod-type member designed for taking up and transmission compressing forces, and connecting members on ends of rod-type member. Rod-type member is made in form of sandwich-type combination structure consisting of core passing in longitudinal direction, prestressed fiber combination winding enclosing the coupling unit, and two envelopes located at opposite longitudinal sides of core free from combination fiber winding.
