The disk brake has two opposite brake levers (1, 2) carrying brake shoes (6). They are pivoted at one end and connected by a spindle (7) at the other. The second-brake-lever end of the spindle is pivoted to a bracket (10) which is itself pivoted to the first brake lever at a spacing from the spindle attachment axis (9). The bracket can be turned by an operating device. The attachment axis of the spindle is fitted to the bracket on the outside of the pivot axis (11) between the bracket and the first brake lever.
