The apparatus includes first and second volume and balance controllers (40,50) for a loudspeaker (7) and headphones (9) respectively. A switch unit (30) supplies one audio signal from several audio signals to the first controller and the other audio signal to the second controller. Different audio signals can be output simultaneously via the loudspeaker and the headphones. A microcomputer (20) controls the operation of the controllers and the switch unit.
