The wetting medium additive concentration in the wetting medium circuit of an offset printing machine is determined by titration to a predetermined pH change of an aqueous wetting medium solution sample taken from the circuit. A titration set, for carrying out the above process, consists of a sampling device, a titration vessel, an indicator solution and a titration solution. Titration is carried out with a 0.01-2 M alkali metal hydroxide solution and an indicator which exhibits a color change at pH 5-9.
