A mold capable of carrying out louvering smoothly to form a small projection on the upper surface of a work throughout the process steps. Specifically, a mold for forming a projection (33) on the upper surface of a work by the cooperation of a punch (3) with a die (7), wherein the punch (3) is provided with a cylindrical punch guide (9); a punch driver (15) having a punch head (17) at the upper end portion thereof is formed in the upper portion of the punch guide (9) so that the punch driver (15) is urged upward and can be vertically moved; a resilient member (23) is disposed between the punch driver (15) and a vertical slider (21) which can be moved vertically and is positioned under the punch driver (15) in the punch guide (9); a louvering blade (25C) for forming a projection on the upper surface of the work is provided at the lower end of a punch body (25) positioned under the vertical slider (21) in the punch guide (9); and the upper surface of the punch body (25) is in flat contact with an inclined surface (21A) which constitutes the lower surface of the vertical slider (21).
