<p>A roulette wheel assembly and table arrangement includes a roulette wheel (1) rotatably mounted in a wheel bowl (5), and driven by an electric motor (6). Thirty seven slot compartments (11) are located around the wheel circumference to receive a roulette ball (15). In operation the wheel (1) is rotated and the slot compartment floor (14) is lowered to allow a ball (15) from the previous game to be thrown outwardly and fall into a ball magazine (22). A firing breech (24) is opened to allow a ball (15) to enter a firing chamber (26). On the command, an air blower (27) blows the ball (15) into a firing tube (28) which propels the ball (15) tangentially onto the bowl (5) in the opposite direction to the travel of the wheel (1). The ball (15) travels across the bowl (5) onto the wheel (1) and finally lands in a compartment (11). Each player around the table (37) has a betting station (38) giving the betting choices that make up the game.</p> |
