Active armour for armoured fighting vehicle

The active armour has a sandwich construction formed of inlay sheets (17,18) with explosive between. There is at least one armour plate behind the sandwich. The sandwich inlay (16,25) can have a rod or triangular shape profile. The thickness of the sheet can be between one and two millimeters and the explosive two millimeters. The sheets can be made of high density material i.e. copper.
