Signal program computation for road traffic management

摘要

The method involves the computerized generation and/or optimization of signal programs for road traffic signalling system. The method is implemented at least in part with the aid of genetic algorithms. The signal program consists of a transition time and a fixed number of signal groups with the start and end times of the periods for which they allow traffic to pass.
