Furniture with curved contours

A plate made of eg. wood is bent into a curved panel (7) with both straight and curved end edges. One of the straight end edges is secured inside a space (9) in a profiled bar (8) fastened onto the furniture. Preferably a second space (10) in the bar is used to secure it onto a furniture end edge. A screw is secured from the outside of the panel into a bracket for adjusting the depth of the panel inside the bar space. Parallel slots are provided in the panel. The curved panel edge is supported by a contoured panel or by a groove in a base or cover plate.
