Cross direction support for length joint between reinforced concrete slabs

Header plates on opposite sides of the joint are coupled to the slab reinforcing structure and to reinforcing brackets secured to the awl or sleeve in the main support bearing. The cross-direction support utilizes header plates (2), a sleeve (5) and an awl (4). The large header plates are coupled to the reinforcing structures (6) inside the slabs (1) and to reinforcing brackets (7) secured to the awl or sleeve forming the main, direct, support bearing between the two adjacent slabs on either side of the joint.
