A golf practice aid to assist a golfer correct addressing of a golf ball relative to an intended course of travel of the ball. The golf practice aid includes a surface area (10) with a plurality of placement guides (14, 15) for a golf ball, the placement guides being located to correspond to a particular type of club or plurality of clubs to be used by the player. The surface is also provided with a feet positioning guide (16, 17, 18) and a shoulder positioning guide (19) to assist the golfer in determining correct positioning of the golfer when addressing the ball relative to the ball's intended course of travel.
