Each side wall (2,3) of the body structure, on a level with an end wall (1), has a connecting section (4) joined to one side edge of the end wall and the inner surface of which facing this side edge extends in a sliding plane fixed in the vehicle's vertical and longitudinal directions. The connecting section may be formed in one piece on one inner side wall half, or may be a component rigidly connected to it. The connecting section has a flat area for connection of the wheel mounting in a connecting plane identical to or parallel with the sliding plane.
