SUBSTANCE: generator functions to produce low-temperature noise dispensing with cryogenic cooling for measuring low values of noise temperature of transistors, amplifiers, or antenna assemblies, is often used as standard remote-controlled noise generator, and incorporates provision for electronic level selection. It has double-output noise source built around nonreciprocal Schottky barrier device, valve, directional coupler, and electronic-control switch.
