FIELD: methods of replacement of atmosphere in bell-type furnace for annealing and designs of furnace for embodiment of methods. SUBSTANCE: fresh gas is supplied in the form of upward jet at high velocity of approximately of 80 m/s to circular space between annealed material bell where as forming gas mixture is withdrawn through discharge opening for gas which is located diametrically relative to base plate. With flow rate approximately of 130 cu.m/s, time of washing amounts, approximately, up to 6 min. EFFECT: economical and rapid replacement of furnace atmosphere. 9 cl, 1 dwg
