FIELD: abrasive tool industry, namely manufacture of vulcanite binder abrasive wheels. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing lumpy abrasive mass for molding, molding plates of prepared mass by rolling and calendering, applying talc on plate surfaces, blanking from plates annular blanks of abrasive wheels at formation of recoverable waste in the form of outer fin and excised pieces, disintegrating waste, making plates and annular blanks from them. Disintegration of waste to lumpy mass and talk removal are performed simultaneously at making blanks from plates prepared of initial mass. Mass of lumps of disintegrated waste consists 0.8-1.2 of mass of lumps of initial mass. Before molding, (30-50)% of mass of disintegrated waste are added to initial lump mass. EFFECT: enhanced quality of plates and wheels, lowered number of rejects, reduced labor consumption of manufacturing process. 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 2 exp
