Date Jun. 23, 1994A laminate comprising a substrate, a thermoplastic film, a paper layer, and a surface-finishing coating is described. The thermoplastic film is a coextruded, three-layer plastic film. The outer layers of the plastic film contain one or more polyolefins having a carboxyl group content of 0.05 to 30% by weight, and the inner layer of the plastic film contains polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyethylene copolymer, or a polypropylene copolymer. The laminates may be produced in one or more process steps and are useful for the manufacture of furniture and boards.
