<p>A method of producing a phase mask for fabricating optical fiber, which minimizes splicing error that deteriorates wavelength selectivity of the optical fiber diffraction grating that is to be fabricated, wherein, in the step of exposure to light, a phase mask blank (10) is placed on a drawing stage (5) which is continuously fed in one direction while successively scanning with a drawing beam (14) the phase mask blank portion corresponding to recessed grooves (26) or protuberances (27) which are at right angles with the direction of feed, thus continously drawing the whole drawing region of the phase mask blank (10).</p> |
