The machine frame (1, 2) consists of two L shaped end elements (6). The horizontal legs of these elements form the support plane for the pallet (4) with the workpiece (5), while the vertical legs are joined at the top to one another by a stiffening beam (7). This beam carries a controllably movable cantilevered arm (8) with a cutting head (10) producing a laser beam (12). The vertically adjustable cutting head is movable along the arm (8) in the direction (f).
