<p>A pressure vessel for containing fluid such as LPG comprises a float-actuated valve which is insertable through an upper opening of the container, the valve comprising a tube 42 with a longitudinal bore and a valve member which is a piston 48 which slides within the bore and which is actuated by the float 72 in such manner that the valve is shut when the float is perpendicular to the axis of the bore. The sealing end of the piston may preferably have an enlarged end 50 which is housed in an enlarged chamber 52. A biassing device may impart a biassing force on the piston such that any fluid trapped in the line 30 between the internal valve and the filling branch when they are closed may escape into the body of the container.</p> |
