Method and device for distance calculation in high dimensional vector spaces

The process is used to compute the distance between reference vectors [R1-Rn] and new feature vectors [FV]. In order that the number of computational steps and hence the processing time is reduced, the component values are reorganised. New vector values are determined for each of the components within a reference vector and these are stored as partial vectors and this reduces the number of operations.
