METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF BEARING RACES

FIELD: manufacture of antifriction bearings. SUBSTANCE: blank of race is obtained through winding the bar in ring with sizes as close to finished part as possible; ends of blank are welded together by means of diffusion welding in vacuum at radio-frequency current heating, thus retaining layers of metal with longitudinal micro-fibers of starting rolled product at angle of inclination relative to working surface close to zero. To reduce labor consumption in welding and to accelerate the process, first tongued ends of blank are welded by means of resistance spot welding, thus forming the closed electric circuit ensuring direct induction heating of blank due to which time of main welding process is reduced by more than ten times. Then diffusion welding at radio-frequency current heating is connected under optimal conditions. EFFECT: enhanced contact durability of working surface of bearing race; increased material utilization factor up to 0,99.
