The base station has two relays (13) for transmission and reception which are geographically spaced within the cell (17) of a radio-communication and numerical reservoir. Each relay can emit signals to the mobile stations in the zone. A concentration center (15) acts on the signals from the relays and feeds signals to be emitted to them. The base station selectively connects a pair of relays to a mobile station (11).
