PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a small size and light weight. SOLUTION: A dielectric mirror layer 12, transparent electrodes 14, a positive hole transporting layer 16, a luminous layer 18, and metal electrodes 20 are successively formed on a glass substrate 10. A plurality of transparent electrodes 14 are formed into strips at prescribed intervals and metal electrodes are also formed into strips at prescribed intervals in the direction at right angles to the transparent electrodes 14. Consequently, a simple matrix type panel is constituted and voltage application is controlled by selecting electrodes and the luminesouce of the resultant panel can be controlled corresponding to information. As a result, information display can be carried out on the panel. |
