PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit the video signals to a video signal display device which can display both 2D (two-dimensional) and 3D (threedimensional) images and also can always display the 3D image in an optimum state after deciding a 2D or 3D image and to observe these images by deciding a 2D or 3D image and then outputting the video signals to the display device. SOLUTION: The video signals So sent from an image generation device are converted into the digital signals by an A/D converter 21 and inputted to a field video-information calculation part 22 where the types of video signals are discriminated. Then this discrimination result is outputted as a switching signal S1. If a 3D image is decided, the signal S1 drives a switch 23 to send the signals So to a field sequential 3D image separation part 24. If a 2D image is decided, the signal S1 drives the switch 23 to send the signals So to a video signal transmission switching selector 25. |
