CATHODE FOR ELECTRON TUBE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode for an electron tube in which electrons can be emitted for a long time in a high current density range. SOLUTION: In a cathode for an electron tube including a metal base material 12 mainly comprising nickel, and an electron emitting material layer 11 formed on the metal base material 12 and including alkaline earth metal oxide mainly comprising barium oxide, a metal layer 15 mainly comprising zirconium is formed between the metal base material 12 and the electron emitting material layer 11. Excellent initial emission characteristics can thus be provided, and a mass quantity of electrons can be emitted for a long time, thereby it can be suitably applied to a high precision cathode-ray tube.
